The Volcano

My Life — Proof of God’s Existence?

Human eyes are unprepared for the words describing the events which took place in this man’s life.

Give heed to how Ray Adams (Adam Wray) conquered childhood depression after surviving an early suicide attempt. An unimaginable discovery firmly convinces him of God’s presence. As we traverse the years together with Ray, we see his conviction challenged, and then strengthened. Vivid recollections are melded with inspiring moments of faith, heart-wrenching emotion, unapologetically unique blends of humor, and brutal honesty. Stories, theories, romance, and poems surface as he delineates the process leading him to eminence and sheer joy.

This autobiography takes a twist, as the author invites us on a journey that forms his life’s volcano, through his own eyes, in real time. Is the introduction of a special and rare love the final puzzle piece in this man’s pathway to God or will a “volcanic eruption” render him derailed?

The Volcano serves as a reminder to us all that regardless of our differences, we are intrisically similar in how we’re affected by our upbringing, our relationships, and our experiences. We stop short in attempting to diagnose Ray’s afflictions, realizing we’re attempting, actually, to diagnose our own. In the fullness of time, there are volcanoes in us all.

Lava Lava

Alternative/Blues/Rock

The sister project to The Volcano is coming soon to an ear near you. Lava Lava is a concept album, the concept of experiences and life’s emotions building up like a volcano. When it erupts, creativity spews in all directions. In this case it comes in the form of radio waves.

Bio not BO

My name is Adam Douglas Wray. I’m a creative soul from “Hub City” in Maryland, USA. I came from a loosely religious Christian household with limited income and minimal resources. At a young age, I was diagnosed with social anxiety and depression. I am pretty much a mean-faced loner who never perfected a social life, but I’m actually quite kind, kind of.

As a kid, some of my favorite things included drawing, Legos, Lincoln Logs, and Play Dough. I always wanted to create new things. I struggled with emotional stability, but I came to a great spiritual realization when I was a teenager that continued to manifest and grow for many years.

As an adult, I found my purpose: creating. I knew it all along. I received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and continue to study. I do sign design, illustrations, graphics, and 3D art. Many of my projects are filmed for YouTube. I even dabble in musicianship as a guitarist and songwriter. But now, I’ve scrambled a bunch of words together in an object that us people like to call a book!
